We really care for our students and try to make sure that they will be able to use English with the help of our approach. The students age varies from 3 years old to high school students with the average number of students in a class being 4, and the max being 8 students. When teaching in very young students’ classes, you will work with a Japanese coordinator, using a team-teaching style. Teachers and Japanese coordinators make lesson plans together each day before lessons. Here at Nissait, we want to help raising global citizens, curious of the vast, open world we live in! It's difficult to speak English outside of the comfortable classroom environment, but we believe our students are able to jump over that language barrier and go for it! Here is a small evidence. We take our students to Asakusa, when they interview some tourists from overseas. The video is only about 1 minute long, but it'll give you an idea of how our students learn communicative English. Maybe it's you who can help them to achieve their goals? https://youtu.be/WxpvseMYu1M https://youtu.be/jWXNUgc9LGY Working days are from Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday and Monday being your days off. You can take advantage of free Mondays, when Japan is not as crowdy as it is during the weekends! On week days, most of the lessons are in the afternoon and evening. Teachers clock in between 12:00 and 14:00 to make lesson plans with a Japanese coordinator together. Usually lessons start at 15:00 and finish around 21:30 on weekdays. On Saturdays, teachers clock in around 8:00 in the morning and make lesson plans along with preparing for the day. The lessons start around 9:00 and finish around 17:30. The transportation fee is covered monthly and we offer sick days, too. Nissait offers an attractive number of days off throughout the year, which you can use during the designated periods, when the school is shut (i.e. during the Summer and Winter Breaks). Despite the infamous overworking culture, often to be found in Japan, you will very rarely have to do any overtime! Social insurance (health insurance, pension, and long-term care insurance) Unemployment insurance and worker's accident compensation Commuting Allowance: Available (up to 30,000 yen per month) 5 summer holidays and 5 winter holidays besides regular paid holidays We'll help you to find an apartment if needed. If employee wants to make more money, we offer you an online teaching job, aside of this job ad. You can work from home using our curriculum as your flexible working shift. This is optional, but can be used accordingly to the teacher's financial needs. If you're interested, make sure to let us know during the interview! Nissait English school was established in 1973, and since then, we have been seeking for a higher education for our students. At Nissait, we can offer you an opportunity to expand your teaching abilities through our school's environment and experience the lifestyle here in Japan. Our staff members are friendly and our schools have a warm, home-like feeling to them - which also means, that we don't require you wearing a suit while prancing with kids! Our school really cares how much each student can improve his/her English. If you just want to have fun with kids, our school is not for you, finding the right balance is essential - we'll be happy to guide you and help you to become the best teacher you can possibly be. In order to increase our efficiency in teaching, Nissait has a very unique teaching style of having a Japanese coordinator in the young students' classes. Japanese coordinators make lesson plans with the teachers together and in class, they demonstrate the activities to the students and reply to the teacher, so the students can understand quickly what is expected for them by observing a Japanese coordinator. This system makes it possible for students to learn how to speak and what to speak even though they come to school only once a week. I'm sure you will amazed to see their improvement. I'm sure the videos on the sites will prove it. We are a family-orientated school and we enjoy our company’s outings, too! < We can sponsor your Visa, so if you're currently abroad and you're fixed on the idea of moving to Japan, we can help you to make it happen! We take into account potential candidates from all over the world, not only the English-speaking countries. However, please take note, that your English level should be native-like. Please apply with your resume, cover letter and a current photo. Please include the word "banana" (or use in a humorous way) in the cover letter. We'd like to have a teacher who is humorous. We want a teacher that wants to work at Nissait and not one that just applies to every job out there, so the applications without this word will not be considered. Video Introduction is strongly recommended, too! Only one vdeo introduction is fine. Teaching experience is not necessary. However, you should be eager to learn new things and have a passion for teaching. If you meet these criteria, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. It's difficult to put everything into one add without making it obnoxiously long, so feel free to prepare any questions you have for us for the interview! Priority consideration will be given to those who have completed the Video Interview. We need one full-time teacher but we may need another semi-full time (4 days a week with Saturdays) teacher. We hope to see you becoming the member of our team soon! See you at Nissait! |

Features of Nissait English School
Introduction
Our goal at Nissait is to be an ideal school for children to learn & love the ability to speak & write in English.
In order to be an ideal school, we think students need two types of classes. One is a native English speaking teacher’s Conversation Class. Unless we practice the language, we are not able to use it.
Here at Nissait, we allow an engaging experience, that envelopes our students in an English speaking environment. The other class that we offer is a General English Class taught by Japanese English teachers. Students learn reading, writing, phonics, & basic grammar. Our Japanese educators are experienced & dedicated to perfecting the proper use of English, in the proper context.
We also provide events enabling students to learn about & experience the vast array of western cultures.
We plan day trips, summer school, overseas home-stay programs, & holiday events for students.
《School locations : Ikebukuro (Tokyo), Kawagoe (Saitama)》
Education Policy
At Nissait, we think the purpose of learning English is the ease of communication. By "Communication" we mean more of an ability to pursue harmony between each individual. This doesn't refer simply to learning a language, but rather the ability by which the people of the world can overcome an array of differences, such as those relating to nationality, culture & religion, in order to live peacefully together on our planet.
Therefore, our concept of teaching is "To nurture the heart of communication & to support the skills of communication." We hope children will have fun communicating with others as they expand their views & become global citizens.
Native Teacher's Conversation Class
Conversation classes for younger students are taught by native English speaking teachers & Japanese coordinators. These particular lessons are carried out only in English, immersing the student in a completely English environment. We focus on how to use English rather than simply studying English.
We also motivate students to always use complete sentences, as well as a high level of attention on the student’s pronunciation. We have small class sizes, therefore each student has an opportunity to speak & is given individual attention by the teacher. The students have a fairly high level of English for their age. They also retain the information quickly with the Nissait system.
Maximum number of students in a class: Baby class 4, Under Elementary school 6, Over Kindergarten 8.
Japanese Coordinator System
Japanese coordinators are educational counselors, & they act as a bridge between the teachers, students & their parents. They also help young students to join in the lessons by demonstrating good answers as well as bad answers, in order to allow students to correct them during class. Shy students & students lacking confidence will be very relieved with their help. Japanese coordinators also give lesson feedback to the parents after each lesson.
Japanese teachers help with Reading, Writing and Grammar
In order to improve one’s English, reading is necessary. In our General English classes, taught by the Japanese English teachers, students learn phonics, reading & writing as well as English grammar. The experienced teachers allow the students to practice phonetical drills & allow them to properly read & write. With a text book, the students translate from English to Japanese & vice versa.
Extra Curricular Activities
We have a variety of event programs throughout the year. The purpose of these events is to allow the students an experience with the different aspects of Western culture, to use English outside of the classroom in real situations, & to show the students’ progress to their parents. We have Easter classes, Halloween parties, day trips, summer school, overseas home-stay programs, & Christmas presentations. Students are able to have fun learning about western culture, while also learning English through these events in addition to their regular lessons.
Established in 1973
Nissait was established in 1973. We have grown in size & continue to refine our curriculum. We put thought & extreme detail in to every aspect of studies, from our choice of textbook, curriculum development, attention to students progress & our event programs. Nissait is the ideal school for children to have fun learning English, & actually use English as a means of communication with comfort.
